In this project, we had to tackle the last CG short of my degree. In a team of 25 people, I chose to take up the lead animation role. Since there were no riggers in our team, I decided to also take on the lead rigger role.
The lead animator role brought weekly check-ins with the directors and producer, tasks reviews, pipeline R&D, animation reviews and more importantly animating.
The lead rigging role brought many rig reviews with multiple rigging freelancers, consolidating our animation teams needs and transmitting it to our riggers and modifying rigs. The whole project used a USD pipeline and we had to adapt our workflow to the pipeline and debug as we go.
